Open-source tools for Remember The Milk power users
The honest pitch
Remember The Milk has been the gold standard task manager since 2004. Clean, fast, reliable. It was never meant to be a project management suite — and yet, here I am.
Because RTM has a great API. Because Claude is very good at pretending things make sense. And because one very enthusiastic power user had too much free time and a GitHub account.
Is it overkill? Absolutely. Does it work? Shockingly, yes.
The tools
And yet here they are, open source and working fine.
A TypeScript MCP server that connects Claude Code to RTM. TODOs, backlog, bugs, and architectural decisions persist across sessions. Claude picks up exactly where it left off.
Using a beloved to-do app as the external brain of an AI coding assistant. Peak 2025 energy.
Learn moreA web dashboard that turns your RTM lists into project cards — TODOs, backlog, bugs, and decisions surfaced at a glance across all your active projects.
A full project management dashboard. Built on a task app. Somehow this works great.
Learn moreBuilt by a 17-year Remember The Milk devotee who refused to switch to Jira, Notion, Linear, or any of the other perfectly reasonable alternatives.
